Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the website plorex.games and the user accounts offered there (the "Service"), operated by Leon König, c/o Block Services, Stuttgarter Str. 106, 70736 Fellbach, Germany. By using the Service, and at the latest by creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Plorex is a free game discovery service. It aggregates information about video games from public sources and presents it, in part supported by AI-generated summaries. Plorex does not sell games and is not a party to any purchase you make elsewhere.

We work hard to keep the data accurate, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current or free of errors. Prices, availability, player counts, ratings and system requirements can change at any time. Always check the relevant store or publisher before making a purchase decision. Nothing on Plorex is advice within the meaning of any contractual or professional duty.

You can use Plorex without an account. If you create one, the following applies:

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• The information you provide (in particular your e-mail address) must be accurate, and an account is intended for one natural person.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that takes place through your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in your profile.
• If you sign in via Google, Discord or Twitch, the terms of that provider apply to your account with them in addition to these terms.

You can delete your account at any time in your profile. Deletion removes your account data as described in our Privacy Policy.

When using Plorex, you agree not to:

• access the Service by automated means (scraping, crawling, bots) beyond what our robots.txt permits, or systematically extract, copy or reuse its content or data beyond normal personal use;
• circumvent or interfere with security measures, rate limits, bot protection or access controls;
• impair the availability, integrity or performance of the Service;
• use the Service unlawfully, or to infringe the rights of others.

Game titles, artwork, trailers, screenshots, logos and other game media belong to their respective rights holders and are shown for identification and informational purposes. Data is sourced from third parties; see our Data Sources page. The texts, design and structure of Plorex itself are protected and may not be reused commercially without our consent.

Plorex contains links to external websites. We have no influence over their content and do not adopt it as our own. Links to game stores will follow with our price and deal layer, and some of them will be affiliate links; how we handle that is set out in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Plorex is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee any particular availability and may change, restrict or discontinue features, or the Service as a whole, at any time. Planned paid features, if any, would be offered separately and on their own terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account if it is used in serious or repeated breach of these terms, in particular in the case of abusive, automated or unlawful use. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

We are liable without limitation for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health, for damages based on intent or gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act.

In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the agreement possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.

Because Plorex is provided free of charge, the statutory limitations of liability for gratuitous services remain unaffected. We are in particular not liable for decisions you make on the basis of information shown on Plorex, or for the content or offers of third parties.

We may amend these terms, for example when features change or for legal reasons. If you have an account, we will inform you of material changes by e-mail or within the Service before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you may delete your account.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with habitual residence in the EU, you additionally enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
