The short version
Plorex is a game discovery site. You can use it without an account, and we keep data handling minimal: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers, no sale of data. The only personal data that is processed comes from the technical delivery of the site itself, described below.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Server functions run in Frankfurt, Germany. When you visit the site, Vercel technically processes your IP address and standard request data (time, requested page, browser identifier) in short-lived server logs. This is required to deliver the site and to keep it secure (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Media delivery
Game preview clips and posters are delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) from its R2 content delivery network. When a clip loads, your browser contacts Cloudflare directly and transmits your IP address as part of the request (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some game pages embed trailers via YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When such a video is displayed or played, your IP address is transmitted to Google. In privacy-enhanced mode YouTube does not use viewing data for personalized advertising cookies before playback (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Cookies and local storage
Plorex sets no cookies. Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage only ("theme"). It never leaves your device and contains no identifying data.
Contact by email
If you email us, your address and message are processed to answer your request. Our mailboxes run on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
This policy reflects what the site does today. It will be updated when features are added, for example accounts or store partnerships.
